"I have heard that an eagle misses 70 percent of its strikes. Why should I expect to do better? And when he misses, does he scold himself, I wonder, for failing at the task?"
-Sophy Burnham in Trusting Yourself by MJ Ryan.
This week, I'm hoping to take the next step in my writing career. But in order to do that, I must risk:
- making a mistake,
- being rejected,
- being humiliated, or
- simply not being good enough.
I can only take the step if I am willing to fail at least 70 percent of the time.? If an eagle tolerates missing 70 percent of the time, I suppose I can too.
How about you? What do you risk this week? How will you overcome your failures on the way toward success?
Happy Monday!
