The Black and The White.

Right now, right this very moment, many of the things I believed were white I see now as black.? In turn, many of the things I saw as black, I now realize are white.

It’s a very confusing time filled with doubt and strong emotions.

Like getting kicked out at 17 years old, I find myself facing the cold wind alone.

Then, D. comes to hold my hand.? Rose slips her fuzzy head under my hand for a pet.

And I’m not alone in the wind anymore.

Just confused.

If black is white and white is black, why does everything feel so gray?

  • We humans don't like change. When the change is in us we like it even less. It is hard to change the way we see things but sometimes it has to happen. At the end of the long dark tunnel there is light.
  • I always think that there is a little light in black and a little black in light. Sort of like a yin yang.

Claudia, grey is the color of depression. So, in their own ways, are black and white. What you want to do is see reds and blues and yellows. And greens! Those colors were gone from my life for many, many, (many!) years, so I understand completely. Little by little the colors will come back, at first softly muted, and then vibrant. (((hugs))) Josie

I have a new blog. I had to delete my old one because family members were lurking and "monitoring" everything I said. If you click on the link here, it will take you to my new blog. I hope you visit me.

    Here's to red!! and yellow!!!

    Cheers,
    Josie

  • "Faith is believing in something that only makes sense in reverse."
In other words, we believe in our dream, our hopes, whatever, in spite of all indications that we'll never achieve our dreams, are foolish to hope and the world seems to be falling apart around us.
But when we look back, we see how every step, every hurt and every experience brought us to success.
I hope everything is okay with you, Claudia!

What is chrstal clear, or black and white, is that all those head winds that you weathered , some with D and Rose, have evolved you into what you have become. And that's pretty damn good. I'm pretty sure of that. Just in case I was never clear about that.
  • Some days are just gray - hope the sun comes out for you soon! Hang in there.:)
  • ?Every path has its puddle?
  • Hang in there, Claudia...I wish there was something I could do to help!
  • As Benjamin Spock has been known to say, "Trust yourself. You know more than you think you do."

    Hang in there....
  • maybe black and white and gray don't even exist....whatever is going on, hang in there, we love you.

If everything was as we thought it was, we'd have nothing to ponder over. Our minds would be still and bored. I feel as I get older that my ideas on things have changed dramatically, so I sort of know how you feel.

Always nice to have your lovies to hold on to in times of confusion.

i feel the same way, claudia. hugs.
  • Grey has many subtlies to it.........and shades which if you look closely carry brilliant blues and life affirming reds.....tucked into the fabric.

black and white...............the absorbing and reflecting of light and colour.........grey harbours them.

i always love the style of a grey woolen dress accented with a dark pink scarf.

  • i think that's life just telling you to back up a bit and enjoy the view of the big picture

I've never thought of the world as black and white. Well, except on crosswalks. And One Way signs. We're all confused, Claudia, but as Ben Franklin said, "we must all hang together or assuredly we will all hang separately."

    Wanna hang? :)
  • I rather feel the same way that you do so I have no answers. But some things are not black or white even if we want them to be.
  • TWM
Claudia...The answers come after we quit asking the question. It is not a bad thing to look at the past but it is a terrible one to focus on much beyond the right now eh?
