Heart in SF – I agree that angels are different beings than spirits. I also think there are a number of spirits types – I have a friend who says that anything with energy has a spirit – so houses, beds, etc. The ancestor thing was just… to be simple, I guess. I”ll be so very jealous if you see a dragon first….

I don’t believe that spirits or ghosts of departed people and animals are the same as angels who in my understanding have never been human or animal. They are a separate order of being. When you said that our ancestors are waiting to help us, that would seem to disagree. Do you distinguish between ancestral spirits and angels?

I also have no difficulty believing in the existence of dragons and Bigfoot. We see such a small portion of what is out there, probably because it would freak out most people who have no frame of reference with which to process it.

at times, i feel i am closer to other planes than i am most of the time. i’m always seeing things out of the corner of my eye. i went through a period of time where i heard a young child crying every morning after i woke up. i’ve seen things floating above me in the darkness. 98% of the time, i tell myself it’s nothing.

Christy – Oh sure, angry yes. But people are angry too. I wouldn’t let a person yell at me, why should I take it from a ghost? Plus I know how lonely they are (just like angry people). Ever really talk to an angry person? They have a lot of “reasons” for being angry but their reasons are bull. They are just angry. (shrugging) If ghosts or people want to talk to me, or have me listen, they’ve got to behave. So they do. If not? I will so not hesitate to send them on.

In my experience spirits can be angry and cold. Thus to me it seems they must be hanging onto something negative. Just as you said some of them are filled with laughter. I have met both.

There are times when the chill is unbelievable, the anger is so intense upon meeting the spirit that it nearly knocks the wind out of me. My stomach turns. I don’t think it would be that way if the spirit didn’t care. Perhaps my interpretation is wrong.

All of my friends, including my husband, think I’m insane to an extent as they do not believe I see anything. But I was raised this way, it doesn’t scare me or make me think I should be in a padded room. My Mom, my Aunts and my Grandma can all see spirits. And some of them, like myself, can interact to a degree. I find it to be a blessing and a curse sometimes.
